Pixel and Nexus Now Receiving May Android security update

    After the overtake from Samsung by bringing the April Security update to its Samsung Galaxy j3 (2017) model, Google pixel band Nexus has regained ground to be the first in receiving the May 2018 security patch update.

As the tradition goes, Google are usually the first to receive the update before others but was overthrown last month by Samsung. This May 2018, google has started rolling out the May Android security update for supported Pixel and Nexus devices which can be seen as the continuation of the tradition.

The list of devices that are compatible for the new update includes;
*Google Pixel
*Google Pixel XL
*Google Pixel 2
*Google Pixel 2 XL
*Nexus 5X
*Nexus 6P
*Pixel C tablet

The May Android security update brings very few functional patches, the notable one being multi-touch detection improvement for all supported devices.
Google has released the new update in the form of factory images and OTA ZIP files in addition to rolling out its presence via an over-the-air (OTA) package. If you own one of the above supported devices, you can check the availability of the May Android security update by going to Settings > System updates.
